Cultural Entrepreneurship major is interdisciplinary. Knowledge in two of three academic pillars is achieved through courses taken in other schools and programs. Specifically, students take courses in LSBE (the Business School) for the Certificate in Business Administration, and courses offered in World Languages and Cultures programs in the College of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences for Cultural Sufficiency.
Cultural Entrepreneurship is an emerging academic discipline that examines how cultural products traditionally associated with the fine and liberal arts, such as art, theater, poetry, and literature, but also cultural activities such as sports, music, food, and film events, are having an increasingly important impact on the growth of local, national, and global economies.
