What We're About

We're all about BS - Building relationships and community among students and also our department's faculty, while Supporting the academic success and professional preparedness of students. We achieve our goals through two primary avenues:

- Social Events that help build relationships and community, such as Game Nights; Holiday Parties; and off campus social events such as Bowling Nights.

- Skills Building Events which help our students succeed academically and as young professionals, such as resume writing workshops, LinkedIn workshops, mock-interview workshops, tips on conducting academic research, guest speakers that discuss how to position students for success as entry level career candidates and graduate school candidates.

Our club is open to all UMD students, and we strongly encourage anyone interested in the COMM Major/Minor or already enrolled in it to attend a meeting or event. We post info on upcoming events in and around A.B. Anderson Hall (look for our display case), and we leverage Facebook as our primary platform for communicating with current and past members (check us out). New students to UMD interested in making friends and positioning themselves for success - we'd love to meet you! We're a fun crowd.
