Mangelsen, who is majoring in History, hopes to pursue a career in grant writing and healthcare social work. When asked about the poem and the process of being published in this anthology, Mangelsen said, “I am so grateful to have been a part of this project and it brings me great joy to celebrate Harjo's incredible works with so many other incredible individuals.”
The book includes poems by nationally recognized poets like Linda LeGarde Grover and Julie Gard.
