The Department of Communication is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Shane Semmler to our faculty. Shane comes to us from the University of South Dakota where he was an Associate Professor.
The Department of Communication is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Shane Semmler to our faculty. Shane comes to us from the University of South Dakota where he was an Associate Professor. He cites two passions in his personal statement on the web (link), one of which caused him to leave his post at South Dakota and move here to live in our natural beauty. The other caused him to apply for our position to teach public speaking. He loves teaching, and among his specialties is oral communication and speech. He has published in this area and also developed and led speech teams. We are thrilled to add his unique expertise and extensive experience to our faculty and to our public speaking program. Shane's office will be in ABAH 207 if you'd like to swing by and meet him.
