Where do you work? What kind of work do you do?
Currently looking for a teaching job for Fall '17

How are you involved with the arts in your current community?
I am the artistic director and conductor of the Twin Cities Brass Band (twincitiesbrassband.com), we are a traditional English Brass Band that plays both contemporary and traditional literature, always striving for the highest level of artistic performance.

What was your favorite class or project in college?
Individual conducting lessons with Professor Daniel W. Eaton

How did SFA professors influence you?
I was prepared to follow my passion and always strive for excellence in all that I do.

What advice would you give to a incoming Art & Design student?
Follow your passion, and strive for excellence.

What was your favorite local Duluth hangout in college?
The DECC and Amsoil Arena for pep band! Sir Ben's for leisure

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you since graduating from UMD SFA?
Getting my masters degree in Wind Conducing, and starting the Twin Cities Brass Band

What was your biggest takeaway from UMD SFA?
Always give 100%

How did you make the decision to attend UMD for school?
It was a smaller university, and Minnesota and Wisconsin had a good reciprocity
