Talk looks at sustainability of community-owned solar mini-grids in India.

On November 1, Dr. Aparna Katre will present "Assessing Sustainability of Renewable Energy Mini-grids," the fourth in a series of six research talks relating to Cultural Entrepreneurship in a global context. In this talk, Dr. Katre will share a multidimensional framework to assess sustainability of decentralized renewable energy solutions. The talk is based on an ongoing multi-year research project to understand sustainability of renewable energy mini-grids in India. Working with collaborators from India and the UK, Dr. Katre looks at the technical, economic and institutional sustainability of the renewable energy mini-grids, while also assessing their socioeconomic and environmental impacts.
