KEY Zone Outdoors Youth Specialist Intern
K.E.Y. Zone (Knowledge, Enrichment, and Youth Development) is a collaborative program of the Duluth Y and ISD 709 Community Education

What did your general duties involve?
Working as part of a small team to plan and implement meaningful outdoor and nature-based programming in a k-5th after school setting.

What was your most memorable experience?
By far the most memorable experience is doing all of the office work for a program date and then seeing that come alive as children explore the outdoors and engage with your programming.

Has your internship influenced your career path?
In my career path outside of school, I always found myself drawn towards outdoor recreation-based jobs, and once I got accepted into this position I knew that this is a career path that there is room for growth and something that I have a knack for.
