The Tezla Outstanding Fine Arts Senior Scholarship
• College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
• Excellence in scholarship/creative activity, or
• Outstanding service contributions to an area of art, music, or theatre, or
• Demonstrated leadership in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social
Sciences (e.g., committee service, orientation, peer advising, etc.)
• Awarded to one (1) student in their third year who will be a senior in
2022-23
• Has a U of MN GPA of 2.8 with 3.0 in their major
The Chancellor Black First Generation Theatre Students Scholarship
• Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify for this award
• Awarded to one (1) student
• First generation college students preferred.
The Isaac and Rose Gershgol Scholarship
• College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
• Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify for this award
• Awarded to two (2) students
• Enrolled formally as a full-time, returning theatre major
• Demonstrated outstanding contribution in theatre
• Good to outstanding student as a performer or theatre artist
• Demonstrated financial need
The Kanter Family Scholarship
• Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify for this award
• Awarded to three (3) students
• Enrolled formally as a full-time, returning theatre major
• Entering junior year, in good academic standing
• Based on talent and need
The VanEmmerik Design and Production Scholarship
• Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify for this award
• Awarded to one (1) student
• Enrolled formally as a full-time, returning theatre major
• Demonstrated artistic or technical achievement in technical theatre
• Financial need is not a factor
The Lois Casmir Birk Memorial Scholarship
• Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify for this award
• Awarded to one (1) student
• Enrolled formally as a full-time, returning theatre major
• Demonstrated artistic achievement in performance or design and
technical theatre
• Financial need is not a factor
The Kathryn A. Martin (KAM) Scholarship
• Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts students qualify for this award
• Awarded to two (2) students
• Enrolled formally as a full-time, returning theatre major in good
academic standing
• Demonstrated financial need
• Awarded to one (1) student
• Enrolled formally as a full-time student in good academic standing
• Demonstrated need, but not eligible for College Work Study
• Majoring or minoring in Theatre
• Interest in theatrical costume design, construction, and management
