Clayton Cleveland did his doctoral work at the University of Oregon. Before coming to the the University of Minnesota Duluth he taught for the War and Peace Program at Ohio University, the College of William and Mary’s international relations program and Villanova University. He teaches courses in international relations and comparative politics. His research focuses upon the role of international institutions, such as the UN Security Council, in national decision-making. This includes work on international organization, international security, political violence, international intervention and methods.
