Associate Professor of History
Steven Matthews received his Ph.D. in European History from the University of Florida, and has been at U.M.D. since the Fall of 2004.  He specializes in medieval European history as well as the history of Christianity and the history of science.  He is the co-founder of the Museum Studies and Public History programs at U.M.D, and is currently doing research in the history and archaeology of western Ireland.
