World Languages and Cultures
Student Learning Outcomes for German Studies Major
1. Students will demonstrate, at a minimum, the Intermediate level of proficiency in speaking the target language (as defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages). |
2. Students will analyze relevant topics in spoken form in the target language. |
3. Students will analyze relevant topics in written form in the target language. |
4. Students will interpret the practices, products, and perspectives of cultures using the target language. |
5. Students will demonstrate cultural competence through investigation of the target culture. |
6. Students will demonstrate advanced written communication and information literacy skills. |
