What is your major?
I am an English major with a minor in Spanish

Where did you study abroad, through what program/course, and how long were you there?
I studied in Salamanca, Spain through the Language and Culture course here at UMD. I studied there for 4 weeks (and spent an extra week in Madrid before the actual course started).

What did your course consist of doing?
Besides class Monday - Friday, we had little visits around the city to different important building and museums. We also had excursions on the weekends to other cities in Spain where we got to see castles, cathedrals, convents, and many other buildings, sites, etc.

What is your favorite memory from your study abroad experience?
My absolute favorite memory is getting the chance to discover the Alhambra (a palace in Granada) with the new friends made on the trip.

What would you say to someone considering studying abroad?
Do it. It's a once in a life time opportunity. You get to live with someone for an extended period of time, and really absorb the culture. Not to mention, you make some unbelievable friends you otherwise may never have even met!

Has study abroad influenced your academic/career path?
It has made me consider switching my minor to a major.
