UMD Theatre alum in Off-Broadway production of Frankenstein

Lauren Hugh makes her debut in the lead role of Elizabeth

Lauren is so excited to be making her Off-Broadway debut, in the lead role of Elizabeth in FRANKENSTEIN the musical. The show, based off Mary Shelly's classic novel is being produced by Write Act Repertory and written by Eric Sirota and directed by Clint Hromsco. Lauren will join the show going on its second year on July 2, 2019. The show will take place Tuesday evenings at 7 pm at St. Luke's Theatre located on Restaurant Row just West of Eight Avenue and Manhattan's Theatre district. Lauren Hugh is a New York City based actor, singer, dancer and writer originally from Chanhassen, Minnesota. She holds a BFA Musical Theatre degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in May of 2018. Some of her favorite shows she has worked on include Legally Blonde: The Musical (Pilar), Spring Awakening (Thea), Tribes (Sylvia), One River (Sharon/Claire), Charlotte's Web (Fern) and the inaugural production of Romeo & Juliet with North Dakota Shakespeare playing Benvolia. Last summer she was cast in Mamma Mia! at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. www.laurenhugh.com
