David Bowen, associate professor of Art and Design shares his recent and upcoming activities:

In June 2020, Bowen gave a tele-present lecture on his tele-present works at 101.All in One Festival at the Art & Science Center at ITMO University, St. Petersburg, Russia.

Bowen's one-person exhibition on water opened at Joseph Nease Gallery, Duluth on September 19. The exhibition debuts two new works using data collected during his time as an artist at sea aboard the Schmidt Ocean Institute research vessel Falkor as it transited across the Pacific.

Also in September, Bowen's video work FLY CARVING DEVICE was screened in Hot Steam a video festival that aims to marry topics in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math at the MIT Museum, Boston, Massachusetts.

In October, Bowen's installation tele-present wind* will be featured in the Festival Maintenant Rennes, France

This November Bowen's kinetic installation tele-present wind* will be featured in the PRECTXE Festival at B39 Art Bunker, Bucheon, South Korea.

*tele-present wind was produced in collaboration with the Visualization and Digital Imaging Lab at UMD..
