Mary Anne Ebert: Alumni
Mary graduated from UMD in 1970, having also earned the Sieur Du Luth Award for her involvement in student activities during her years at UMD.
After completing her MA and PhD in the Twin Cities, Mary worked for the Minnesota Community College system (before it became part of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities) from 1976 to 1986, at North Hennepin Community College, Inver Hills Community College and Normandale Community College. She retired in 1986 and has spent the intervening years working to help family and friends stay connected and as a benefactor of the arts.
Mary is currently a member of the board of directors of the University of Minnesota Duluth Alumni Association, the board of advisors of the College of Liberal Arts of the University of Minnesota Duluth and the board of the Tweed Museum of Art of the University of Minnesota Duluth. Mary serves as a University of Minnesota Alumni Association representative on the University of Minnesota Senate Honors Committee.
Mary is also on the Board of Directors of Graywolf Press. Mary and her husband, Paul, currently fund many scholarships on both the Duluth campus and the Twin Cities Campus of the University of Minnesota.
